The Pac-10 Challenge

For the upcoming 2009-2010 season, my cousin W and I will be making predictions versus the spread for Pac-10 teams. We'll be focusing exclusively on Pac-10 teams and the games they play (both in conference and out).

The purpose of this is mainly fun. We won't be betting on the games but we will try and see if we can do better than the 50% a monkey could average. We are currently at 0%; the monkey is beating us!

Our record is 0-1-0-0. That is a W-L-Tie-Pass tally.

I spoke with W briefly and we decided the take the Oregon Ducks on the road versus the Broncos. They were 3.5 point underdogs and lost by 11, trailing 19-0 until the end of the 4th quarter.

The important questions for upcoming games (especially as this is the season opener weekend) are things like: how many returning starters are there? Is it home or away? Specifically, how many returning linemen are there?

Those are the most important things, I believe, for the home openers.
